Shafts and rings (also toothed) are crucial components in drilling plants used in the oil & gas sector and for geothermal and mining drilling.

Shafts are made with special fabrics of uniform density and friction surfaces that precisely adapt to the shape of the brake drums. The blocks are made with fibreglass yarns mixed with synthetic and natural fibres, according to specific technical needs. he yarns contain copper or brass metal inserts that ensure efficient heat dissipation. The fabrics are impregnated with special resins and suitably worked to ensure continuous and stable friction at low and elevated temperatures. Brake shafts are mainly used in oil industry services. They equip the braking bands, the pneumatic clutches of the different transmissions of the drilling systems and other equipment of the wellhead.

While toothed rings (also toothed) are key components in drilling rig motion transmission systems. They are used to transfer force and rotary motion from the motor to the drill, allowing you to drill deep into the ground. The rings must be precisely designed to ensure a perfect coupling with other components of the transmission system.

Both products must be made of resistant and reliable materials, to withstand demanding environmental conditions and mechanical stresses and to withstand tensile forces, vibrations, and stresses during the entire drilling process.
